Starting from Grenoble, we travel to Briançon, one of Europe's highest towns, navigating renowned mountain passes like the Izoard. Our journey takes us through secluded valleys and to the highest alpine village of Saint Véran. Explore the Verdon Gorge, Europe's deepest canyon, and the turquoise waters of Lac Sainte Croix in Provence.
This tour also includes cultural visits to the Castle of Vizille, Vauban Citadels, and the Geopark of Digne. Experience local traditions with visits to lavender distilleries and olive oil mills. Conclude your adventure in the remote and authentic parts of the Diois and Baronnies, the pre-Alps' outer mountain chains. Expect full days of travel with some walking around scenic villages and towns.
