This tour is now FULL but please email [email protected], call +44 (0) 7756941599 or complete the form below to express your interest in holidays to the Dordogne that we may organise in the future.

This is a chance to stay in Jona’s home – a large town house situated in the famous agricultural town of Ribérac. The house can accommodate 14 guests, but the maximum number for these holidays is 7 members. Rooms are not ensuite but the house has 6 toilets, 2 bathrooms and one shower room. The garden is 2 acres and contains variuos fruit trees, including pear, apple, cherry, plum, fig and walnut trees. A large pond is situated in the centre of the land with a natural spring. There is also a stream running at the garden’s boundary. In the garden wildlife abounds. Ribérac has the largest market in the Dordogne, held every Friday.

There are two ways of travelling down, either by plane to Bergerac or Bordeaux airport or by train from St Pancras down to Angouléme. The price includes plane or train journey and private transfers to and from Bergerac, Bordeaux and Angouléme.

We arrange and book the journeys for you. During the holiday we make a variety of visits to famous sites and ancient towns, castles and chateaux. For example, boat trips on the rivers at Brantome and Dronne. We go to interesting museums, and a flour mill. We also have a professional chef come to give a cooking demonstration of Périgueux cuisine. We see ancient cave paintings, take a train journey through vineyards, go wine tasting, visit Monolithic churches, and take a walk round a beautiful lake, plus much more.

We also visit a ceramics workshop one afternoon in the countryside where the potter has twenty varieties of wild orchids in his garden and woods. You are equally welcome to laze around on the huge terrace attached to the house, take a dip in the swimming pool and relax. The group is usually a mixture of couples and singles.
