Thank you for the welcome home letter. We enjoyed the trip to Madeira, a lovely, well-informed guide and a wonderful driver. The hotel was much as expected from the trip adviser reviews, good facilities, large rooms which were clean and comfortable. We had a balcony too which was nice! We felt that we got to see lots of the best parts of a lovely island. The places we visited were well planned and Lina knew all the tricks so that we didn’t get stuck in queues. We all got along as a group and there were lots of lovely people

Pam and I had a thoroughly enjoyable holiday in Madeira with a group of interesting people. With 9 people in the group everyone got to know each other and got on well together. The hotel was well positioned within walking distance of Funchal old town and the more modern part with the new hotels and the esplanade. The lunches were excellent as was the dinner on the last night. What really made the holiday was Lina, our tour guide, and our driver who worked well together as a team. Lina is passionate about her island and that passion showed through. They always worked the programme so that we always arrived at places, such as the basket run and cable car before the crowds so there was no long waits to do things. We were also introduced to some very interesting characters at each of the places we visited. All in all it was a great holiday!

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Madeira! The tour which you organised enabled to visit so much of the Island and appreciate its beauty. Lina and Fabio were superb and helpful throughout the tour. All the people whose restaurants, vineyards etc were most kind. The last evening, we spent on the Island was perfect and the family of Octavio and Francesca so kind and thoughtful. We did indeed have a very friendly group to travel with and being such a small group, we could visit areas which would otherwise not have been possible The staff at the hotel were most helpful, and the position of the hotel and the gardens is great! Thank you for organising

It is such a beautiful island and Jackie taught us so much about its food and culture. It was truly a holiday to remember. Our hotel was amazing, I am still processing all of my photos! I hope the ones on the Santa Maria show the ship and dolphins on this perfect day.
